Les, go home to Michigan! I watched your teary eyed speech the other day about concentrating on the next game, Arkansas, and you made me sick. I know you are a yankee, and I know you have no respect for southern states, but you should be able to pronounce the state correctly. It is not Ar-Kansas as in the state of Kansas southern sister state, it is pronounced Arkansaw. I had a little book learnin and I can pronounce most of the 50 states, but you now coach in the SEC and are in the deep south, take the time to get to know your country. I think they taught us that in the 5th grade.

So please take your yankee ass back up north and beat up on sorry ass teams and pound your chest that you are so superior to the SEC and the rest of the country. LSU does not need you, they have they athletes to rebuild every year. They can take any coach and have a hell of a team year in and year out. I mean they gave you the opportunity of a lifetime when you did not deserve it. The next coach there will keep the team exactly where Saban put them, just like you. It is a machine that runs itself.

Good Luck in the snow, and dont forget your stupid sqaure billed hat!

I'm sooooooo happy you guys won tonight! I had my head in my hands face down on 4th and 10 in OT and just prayed for a first down. Glad you pulled it out!!!

LSU isn't that great this year. They've had about 5 close games this year.

After last night, maybe Miles will go to Michigan and Houston Nutt will take the LSU job. He should have taken it a few years ago.

Why would LSU want to hire Nutt?

It was "reported" that they talked to him before they hired Miles. I know he is not very popular among many Hog fans right now, but he has pulled out a few wins (this was the first in 4 years)against LSU. It would make some of those misplaced LSU fans here in Arkansas really pissed. I'm all for pissing them off!!

Yeah, I just don't see him being able to get that job after this year if Miles were to leave.

He was hot a few years back, but that was before all the baggage. He turned down the Nebraska job. He could have went anywhere after last season, he rolled the dice to stay with D-Mac one more year.

He's Out!! So where will it be? Baylor, Ole Piss, SMU, Georgia Tech, Nebraska? Lots of jobs open and more to come. I have heard some say that Spurrier to LSU... that would leave South Carolia. Nutt probably doesn't have the "clout" in the Eastern Divison. I hope that the fans of Arkansas have not run off a very good coach without the University having a big name that WANTS to be the coach of the Razorbacks (can you say Stan Heath?)

So it's official now?

HawgFan and I were talking about this the other day about how Nutt is a good coach but he doesn't have the killer mentality and tries to just beat the other team nicely rather than going for the "jugular" (as he put it) and just putting it away.

I guess we'll have to wait a couple more games until we hear an official statement from Miles.

Houston Nutt had a press conference this afternoon and officially resigned. He, of course, "had the best interest of the University in mind" and "was the best decision for the family", and "was not forced out". I must say, I am somewhat sad about him leaving. I hate to say it, but I would much rather have 7 or 8 wins and a bowl game than 3 or 4 wins and nothing like we had during the early 1990s.
